Never Shall

Never shall I ever forget the day
My mom told me
I can’t drink from the water faucet.
She told me the water was dirty,
and it wasn’t safe.
I looked at her with disbelief.
She told me I couldn’t take a shower so
I didn’t know what to do.
She told me to watch the news
so I can have a better understanding of what
she was talking about.
I watched the news, and
they were saying the water has lead running through the pipes
and it’s not safe to drink the water.
From that point forward it was hard to do stuff without clean water.
So Never shall I forget that dreadful day.
